What this site collects
The tools work in the three ways below. The used-listing assessment has a separate processing path described after them.
- Calculated in your browser. Bargain or skip, when JavaScript is on, does its arithmetic in your browser. This tool does not send the prices and ticks you enter to the site.
- Sent in the page address. Build a setup and Works with my gear submit your choices (journey, microphone path, owned items, the two records you picked) as part of the page address, a GET request, so the server can render the result. The site’s application does not write those choices to its database or a file.
- Posted without JavaScript. If JavaScript is off, Bargain or skip posts your entries to the same page. The server computes the verdict in that response and the site’s application does not retain the entries.
The site’s application does not retain the tool entries described above. Your browser keeps page addresses in its history and may cache pages. Standard hosting access logs record request addresses and methods, so GET choices can appear in those logs. The access-log format checked for this site does not record posted form values. Provider-controlled retention is described below. When you follow a link from a tool page to a manufacturer’s site, this site sends only its origin as the referrer, rather than the full tool-page address.
Used-listing assessment. On this site the assessment runs from details you enter yourself: fault cards (including short seller quotes you type), function choices, condition grade, component notes and prices. When you request the assessment, those entries are sent over an encrypted connection to the website’s hosting systems for a computed response. The site’s application does not retain these assessment entries. Automated reading of seller descriptions is not enabled on this site: there is no description field, and nothing is sent to a listing-assistant service. Do not type seller names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, order numbers or other personal information into a quote. This tool provides no visitor account, browser save, share link or analytics service. Hosting and security services may retain separate records, as described below.
The current public site offers no visitor accounts, comments, newsletter or contact form, and runs no analytics or advertising script. GearForContentCreators’ application does not set visitor cookies or save tool entries in browser storage. Hostinger and its content delivery network may apply their own security or infrastructure controls.
Hosting logs
Hostinger serves the site behind a content delivery network. Provider-controlled access and security logs can contain IP addresses, requested pages, browser details and times. These logs are separate from the site’s application records. We have not confirmed the full retention and deletion schedules for provider logs or hosting backups. Contact the editor with a privacy request; provider-controlled records may require coordination with Hostinger.
Links to other sites
Links to manufacturer pages take you to those companies’ sites, which have their own privacy practices. No affiliate program is active today; if one becomes active, this page will explain what the retailer or network may record after you click, and the disclosure will appear next to each commission link.
Messages sent to contact@gearforcontentcreators.com are handled in the site’s Hostinger mailbox. The editor uses your email address and message to answer you and investigate corrections. Our handling policy is to manually delete ordinary inquiries 30 days after the conversation closes. This is a manual process, not an automatic mailbox rule.
Deleting a message or moving it to Trash does not establish immediate erasure from provider systems. Provider-controlled Trash, backups and mail-system logs can follow separate schedules; we have not confirmed their full retention and deletion timelines for this mailbox.
